Five Vehicle Crash Closes I-55 SB Near Black Road

WJOL has learned that I-55 southbound between US30 and US52 is closed due to an accident. Ongoing clean-up for a 5-vehicle crash near Black Rd involving 3 semis, including 1 overturned semi, a box truck, and a passenger vehicle. One motorist crashed and then ran away from police into and out of traffic. One is in custody. Injuries are reported at the scene.
