For A Second Time In A Week, A $1-Million Scratch Off Ticket Sold In South Suburbs
Second big winning ticket sold at the gas station in a month
An Illinois Lottery retailer strikes it lucky again. The BP gas station, located at 2791 US 34 in Oswego, sold a $1 million winning scratch-off lottery ticket, just a month after selling a $300,000 winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket.
The winning scratch-off ticket was a Diamond Crossword 10X game, creating a million dollar payout for a lucky Illinois Lottery player.
This is also a big win for the BP in Oswego, as they will receive a selling bonus of one percent of the prize amount, equivalent to $10,000.
The Illinois Lottery currently offers more than 50 different Instant Ticket games at over 7,000 retail locations across Illinois.
Winners have one year from the date of the winning draw in which to claim their prize. The Illinois Lottery encourages all winners to write their name on the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they’re ready to claim their prize. Winners should visit IllinoisLottery.com/winning for more information on how to claim their prize.
The Thornton’s in Romeoville sold a $1-million scratch off ticket this week.
The Illinois Lottery reminds all players that lottery games are not for kids — never give a lottery ticket to a minor. For more information on how to play lottery games responsibly, please visit the Responsible Gaming page on the Illinois Lottery website.
