Former Bolingbrook Sergeant To ask judge to toss murder conviction

Drew Peterson is set to appear in court to ask a judge to throw out his murder conviction.

A former Bolingbrook police sergeant, Peterson was convicted of killing his third wife, Kathleen Savio, in 2012.

Peterson is scheduled to appear before Will County’s Judge Edward Burmilla on January 21.

Peterson is currently serving a 38-year sentence for the murder of Kathleen Savio and a 40-year sentence for plotting to kill the prosecutor who sent him to jail.
