Former Illinois Senator Announces 2022 Run For Governor

A former Illinois Senator is preparing for a 2022 run for governor. Republican Paul Schimpf announced his campaign to unseat Governor J.B. Pritzker yesterday. In his announcement, he emphasized a need for the state to unite. Schimpf served as a Marine for 24 years and feels his military record has prepared him for the state’s highest office.
