Former Joliet Police Chief Has New Job

Former Joliet Police Chief Brian Benton has a new job. Benton has agreed to become the new Interim Police Chief for the Village of Mokena. Current Chief of Police John Keating is resigning on Friday and Benton will be sworn into the position on Saturday. He served as Chief of Joliet Police from 2013 to 2018. Benton tells WJOL that while he is only the Interim Chief he would be interested in returning to full-time work at some point in the future.
