Former Teacher Sees Bond Reduced in Court

A former Reed-Custer High School teacher saw her bond reduced by 75% in Will County Court on Monday. Dayna Chidester has been charged with six counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse and several other charges in connection with an alleged sexual relationship involving a 14-year-old male. Chidester bond had initially been set at $1 million but saw a reduction to $250,000 in Will County Court on Monday. Chidester was a teacher at Reed-Custer High School but resigned shortly after she was charged. The 14-year-old male was not a student at Reed-Custer High School.
