Former Will County Teacher Charged with Child Pornography in Federal Court

A former Will County high school teacher is now facing federal child pornography charges after allegedly taking pictures of a 14-year-old boy that she is also accused of sexually abusing. Dayna Chidester was arrested by federal agents on Wednesday morning. Chidester was a science teacher at Reed-Custer High when she was charged in Will County in January with Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse, one count of Indecent Solicitation of Child and one count of Unlawful Grooming in connection with the alleged sexual relationship with a 14-year-old male. She resigned her position at Reed-Custer shortly after being arrested. The FBI arrested Chidester at the Will County Courthouse and transported her to the Dirksen U.S. Courthouse. It is being reported that the state charges were dropped to allow the feds to file charges in the case.
