A longtime Frankfort Trustee is resigning and residents can submit applications to be considered for the appointment. At the December 2nd Village Board meeting, Frankfort Mayor Jim Holland received the resignation letter from Trustee Richard Trevarthan stating he was resigning for health reasons. Treverthan was elected to the Village Board in 1971 and saw Frankfort grow from 1,800 people to over 19,000. Mayor Holland thanked him for his 32 years of service, commenting on his “fair and ethical manner.”

State law calls for the Mayor to appoint a new trustee with the advice and consent of the remaining trustees within 60 days. The Mayor invites residents of Frankfort to submit an application to be considered for the Trustee appointment. Applications are due by Monday, December 30th and can be found on the village of Frankfort website. The Mayor expects to announce an appointment at the January 21, 2020 Village Board meeting.
