Funeral Today For State Trooper In Lake County

An Illinois state trooper who was killed this past weekend will be laid to rest today. A funeral for Trooper Gerald Ellis takes place today at the College of Lake County’s James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts in Grayslake. Hundreds of uniformed police officers gathered for his visitation yesterday. Ellis was killed early Saturday by a wrong-way driver on I-94 in Green Oaks.
