The person of interest in today’s deadly July 4th parade shooting in Highland Park, Illinois is under arrest.  He’s identified as Robert Crimo the Third, a 22-year-old white male.  His vehicle was reportedly spotted in North Chicago around 6:30 local time and he was taken into custody for questioning.  Six people were killed and dozens more injured when shots rang out from a rooftop earlier today as the parade was underway.

President Biden says he and First Lady Jill Biden are shocked by today’s parade shooting in Illinois.  In a tweet, Biden said gun violence has yet again brought “grief to an American community.”  He said he is thankful to the first responders on the scene.

Governor JB Pritzker says people should be angry that yet again gun violence has taken the lives of six more people.  He also stated that mass shooting have now become a weekly American tradition.
