Gas Sticker Lawsuit Filed Against The State

The Illinois Fuel and Retail Association is suing the state over a provision in the state budget that requires a gas tax sticker on pumps. Those stickers, per the budget provision, explain why gas prices are cheaper. Gas stations that don’t comply with the provision could be fined 500 dollars a day starting July 1st. As of this week, the association’s board has voted to move forward with the lawsuit to get rid of those sticker requirements.
