Good News: Gouger Road Reopens

The massive sink hole on Gouger Road south of I-80 may is fixed. Will County engineer Jeff Ronaldson tells WJOL that a major piece of equipment was been delivered last week, but they had to wait to install the equipment until the water level within the creek went down to an appropriate level.

The huge steel drainage pipe rusted underneath the roadway and buckled. A cement pipe was installed and the road opened on Wednesday night. Gouger Road is open between Ellis Ct. and Spencer.
