Governor Pritzker Signs Law Expanding Grant Program Designed To Curb Gun Violence

More communities will become eligible for gun violence prevention grants statewide under a bill recently signed by Governor JB Pritzker. Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton says the object is to get funding to local groups so they can create programs to curb violence. The measure, which is a follow-up to the Reimagine Public Safety Act, allows the new Office of Firearm Prevention more flexibility to award grants.
