Governor Pritzker To Unveil Legislation To Strengthen Scott’s Law

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker is expected to reveal tougher legislation this afternoon in Springfield that will make it safer on the roads for construction workers and first responders. The proposed measure is designed to strengthen Scott’s Law, also known as the move over law. This bill requires drivers to move over when approaching law enforcement and emergency vehicles stopped on the road or any vehicle displaying flashing emergency lights.
