Chicago and surrounding suburbs face dangerous heat levels the next couple of days with temperatures in the mid-90s expected with heat indexes of more than 100. An excessive heat warning is issued through tomorrow night due to what forecasters call the hottest air to affect Chicago this summer.

The heat will peak on Tuesday, and gradually ease on Wednesday. Consider altering your outdoor plans including school sports practices. This is the hottest air that we’ve experienced so far this summer.
