High speed rail from Chicago to St. Louis moves into study and planning phase

Illinois is creating a new commission to create a high speed rail line connecting Chicago and St. Louis. Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has signed a bill to create the new high speed rail commission, to study and develop the plan. Trains dot com reports the line would run through Rockford, Moline, Peoria, and Decatur.
