Highland Park Community Gathering To Honor Victims

One year after a deadly mass shooting, Highland Park residents plan to commemorate the victims.  Seven people were killed and dozens others were injured when the gunman opened fire on the Highland Park Fourth of July parade last year.  The victims will be honored with a remembrance ceremony, walk, and a picnic.  As the Highland Park community continues to heal, organizers say today’s events are a big step in that process.
