Homer Glen Man Charged In Fatal Crash With Uber Car On I-55

A 22-year-old Homer Glen man suspected of causing a deadly crash that killed a woman in an Uber on Chicago’s South Side is now facing criminal offenses. Rami Matariyeh is charged with aggravated DUI, leaving the scene of a crash and reckless homicide in the death of Jamie Poulos. The fiery accident happened early Sunday on I-55 at Damen. Matariyeh left the scene but was arrested by state police at his home and he’s currently awaiting a bail hearing in Cook County court.
