House Fire in Plainfield

At approximately 4:00 am on July 28th the Plainfield Fire Protection District was called for a fire near an air conditioning unit at a house in the 12000 block of Elizabeth Drive. A neighbor noticed the fire and alerted the residents who all escaped safely. The fire was contained to the exterior of the house and originated near the air conditioner condenser. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
