House To Get Automatic Voter Registration Plan

A new plan to automatically register voters in Illinois is half-way to becoming law.  The Illinois Senate last week approved the proposal.  A similar plan failed last year after the Secretary of State’s office said Illinois may have trouble with automatic voter registration and the Real ID Act.  State Senator Andy Manar says those worries have been addressed.
