House Passes Bill Requiring More Disclosure In Municipal Pensions

A bill is moving forward in the state House that would require more disclosure in municipal pensions. The bill adds lump-sum payments for accumulated sick days to a list of items that the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund must disclose. It would not prohibit employees from cashing in unused sick leave when they retire and would only apply to non-union employees.
