One of the jobs groups at the Illinois Capitol says the state’s new governor may be changing Illinois too quickly for some downstate communities. Greg Baise with the group Ideas Illinois said the state’s new governor is pushing Illinois toward a 15 dollar-an-hour minimum wage and at least two tax increases. Baise says those ideas, and a number of others being proposed by Democratic lawmakers, are too much and too fast for communities outside of the affluent parts of Chicago and the Chicago suburbs.
