IDPH Adopts CDC Recommendation For Isolation and Quarantine

The Illinois Department of Public Health is adopting the CDC’s recommendation to reduce the number of days for COVID isolation and quarantine for the general public.  The CDC recommended decreasing isolation for people who test positive from tens days to five days if they don’t have symptoms.  However, the person must continue to wear a mask for five days after isolation ends.  These recommendations apply to all individuals, including those who are unvaccinated or are not boosted.
