Illinois’ attorney general is being careful not to say that he wants a Chicago police offer to spend more time in prison for the 2015 shooting of a teenager. But, Attorney General Kwame Raoul is saying he wants the Illinois Supreme Court to see if the sentence is too short. Raoul yesterday asked the high court to review former officer Jason Van Dyke’s sentence for shooting Laquan McDonald. Van Dyke is serving just under seven years for second degree murder and aggravated battery.
