Illinois Department Of Veterans Affairs Confirms Legionnaires’ Case At Manteno Home

Illinois is dealing with another Legionnaires’ outbreak at another state veterans home.  The Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs yesterday said one person living at the veterans home in Manteno has been diagnosed with Legionnaires’.  The state says it is both launching an investigation and a new water plan at the home.  A Legionnaires’ outbreak at the veterans home in Quincy had killed 14 people since 2015, and sickened dozens of others.
