Illinois Ends ACT/SAT Requirement For In-State Schools

Good news for the high school class of 2022 as they no longer have to take the ACT or the SAT to get into an Illinois university. Governor Pritzker last week signed a law that ends the requirement for a standardized test in Illinois. Democrats pushed the plan as a way to open-up the U of I and other Illinois universities to students who may not take tests well. The ACT and SAT will now be optional admission for Illinois colleges and universities.
