Illinois Expanding Childcare Assistance Program

Illinois is expanding its childcare assistance program. Governor J.B. Pritzker announced the expansion yesterday, which will allow families at or below the federal poverty line to pay one dollar per month for childcare services. Childcare costs for those making up to 250-percent of the federal poverty line will be capped at seven-percent of household income. The new rules go into effect tomorrow.
