Illinois House Passes Law Allowing Some Military Service Records To Be Made Public

A law that would allow some military service records to be made public has been passed by the Illinois House. The measure, which was previously passed in the Senate, passed unanimously in the House. Current law only allows the service member or a son or daughter to obtain military service records. Now, it’s up to the Governor to sign off on the measure.
