Illinois Hunters Harvest 262 Turkeys During 2023 Fall Firearm Season

Illinois officials are releasing preliminary totals of the 2023 fall firearm turkey hunting season.  Hunters in Illinois harvested a preliminary statewide total of 262 wild turkeys from October 21st to the 29th.  The total is less than last year when 267 were harvested.  The record harvest was set in 2005 when more than 12-hundred birds were harvested.
