Illinois’ indoor mask requirement ends today. The decision comes as COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations have dropped and the availability of ICU beds has increased in the state. Masks will still be required where federally mandated, including on public transit, health care facilities, long term care facilities, and daycare settings. Private businesses and municipalities may choose to implement their own masking requirements.
