Illinois is launching a program to help homeowners who have fallen behind on monthly mortgage payments due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Struggling homeowners will be eligible for up to 30-thousand-dollars in free assistance to pay past due mortgage payments, property taxes, property insurance, and delinquent homeowner and/or condo association fees.  Applications will be accepted through May 31st for the Illinois Homeowner Assistance Fund.
