Illinois Lawmaker Introduces Sports Betting Options

Illinois lawmakers are looking at four possible options for legal sports betting in the state. Chicago Democrat Mike Zalewski introduced a package of gambling legislation. One plan would let the Illinois Lottery handling betting, another would give sports leagues a cut of the money, the third option would focus on sports books at existing casinos, and the fourth would allow for online bets from kiosks or casinos. Zalewski says he wants to see what lawmakers will support.
