Illinois Lost Jobs In September

The state’s unemployment rate is holding flat, but the state lost jobs in September. The Illinois Department of Employment Security reports that while the jobless rate stayed at five-percent, the nonfarm payrolls decreased by ten-thousand-800 jobs last month. The six-month trend shows an average 400-job loss each month. But over 12 months, the state still has seen a net gain of 37-hundred jobs.
