Illinois’ Minimum Wage Is Now $9.25

Minimum wage workers in Illinois just got a raise. The minimum wage in the state jumped from eight dollars and 25 cents to nine dollars and 25 cents on New Year’s Day. This is the first of several phase-ins that will eventually drive Illinois’ minimum wage to 15 dollars-an-hour by 2025.
