Illinois National Guard Sergeant Facing Sexual Assault, Abuse Charges

An Illinois Army National Guard sergeant is facing sexual assault and sexual abuse charges. Illinois State Police say 32-year-old Sergeant Timothy Nichols was arrested and charged yesterday with two counts of criminal sexual assault and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. He posted a ten-thousand-dollar bond and was released. No further information regarding the charges has been released.
