Illinois Past Due Bills Set Record

Illinois owes more in unpaid bills than ever before.  Comptroller Susana Mendoza yesterday said the state’s backlog of past due bills topped 16-billion 46-million dollars this week.  That’s a seven percent jump in just a week.  Mendoza said that’s a new record for the state.
