Illinois State Police Arrest Aurora Man For Criminal Sexual Abuse

Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 1 announces the arrest of 30-year-old Chenna R. Borra of Aurora, IL for Aggravated Battery on a Public Way (Class 3 Felony), Criminal Sexual Abuse (Class 4 Felony), and Simple Battery (Class A Misdemeanor).

On September 18, 2024, ISP Troop 3 was contacted by a female rideshare driver who was transporting a male customer, identified as Borra, on Interstate 88 eastbound near Interstate 355, when he began to make sexual advances towards the driver. Borra was dropped off in the village of Schaumburg and the victim immediately went to the Schaumburg Police Department (SPD) to report the allegations. SPD located Borra and detained him until ISP agents arrived to conduct their investigation.

The DuPage County State’s Attorney approved felony charges and Borra was transported to the DuPage County Jail to await a pretrial detention hearing. There is no additional information.
