Illinois Treasurer Wants Congress To Loosen COVID-19 Aid Spending

The Illinois Treasurer wants Congress to allow states to spend federal COVID-19 relief funds how they see fit.  Congress has implemented restrictions and guidelines on how states must spend the money.  Mike Frerichs and the National Association of State Treasurers made the request to Congress through a letter this week.
