Illinoisans Call For Extension Of Utility Shutoff Moratorium
March 25, 2021 12:25PM CDT
Some Illinois residents are pushing for an extension of the utility shutoff moratorium. The Illinois Commerce Commission currently has an end date of April 1st. Those who are not up-to-date on their utility bills could be shutoff or disconnected as early as next month. An ending of the moratorium also means any cases currently submitted through the court system would then proceed starting next week.
