The first day of school for all Joliet Grade School District 86 students is Friday, August 16, 2019. This will be a half day of school for students. All students who attend Marycrest Early Childhood Center will begin school on Tuesday, August 20. All parents/guardians must register children online at https://www.joliet86.org/students-parents/student-registration/ and verify residency before the first day of school.

All District 86 students will be eligible to receive a free breakfast and lunch each school day for the entire 2019-2020 school year. Students may also bring a lunch from home. Additional cartons of
milk will be available to purchase for $0.35. School fees are $25.00 (Kindergarten-Fifth Grade) and $45.00 (Sixth-Eighth Grade).

Physical examination and proof of immunization records are required for students entering Pre-Kingergarten, Kindergarten, Sixth Grade and any students new to the State of Illinois for the 2019-2020 school year. All students enrolling in Kindergarten, and any student entering Joliet

District 86 for the first time, must have an eye examination. Kindergarten students are required to show proof of having two doses of MMR (measles-mumps-rubella) and two doses of varicella. Kindergarten, Second, and Sixth Grade students are also required to have a dental examination. In addition, proof of Tdap (tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis), two doses of varicella and one dose of meningococcal conjugate (MCV4) vaccine are required for all Sixth Grade students.
