Joliet Police were assisting the Illinois State Police following a shooting that took place along I-80 on Thursday night. It happened around 7 p.m. and westbound I-80 was blocked at Larkin. The shooting wounded a motorist who was taken to the hospital. Joliet Fire Chief Greg Blaskey tells WJOL that a 63-year old male who had suffered a gunshot wound while traveling on I-80 in Joliet is in fair condition at Amita St. Joseph’s Medical Center. The Illinois State Police continues to investigate.
