ISBE Offering New Guidance To Districts Regarding Remote Learning

The Illinois State Board of Education is offering new guidance to districts regarding remote learning. The ISBE’s new guidance says districts must consult their local health department before suspending in-person learning because of high COVID-19 transmission. Districts will also be required to provide remote learning to the students during any pause from in-person classes. Officials in most districts say they are trying to avoid having to use remote learning unless it’s absolutely necessary.
