ISP: “Alarming” Spike In Drivers Crashing Into Parked Squad Cars

Illinois State Police officials say there has been an “alarming” rise in drivers crashing into parked squad cars. There have been 16 incidents of drivers hitting State Police cars with emergency lights on. Police aren’t sure what’s behind the spike, but many of the crashes involve driving under the influence and driving too fast for road conditions.
