ISP Celebrating 100th Anniversary This Year

The Illinois State Police is celebrating 100 years of service this year.  Governor Pritzker declared April 1st of this year through next the “Illinois State Police Centennial” to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of ISP.  The first eight original sworn patrol officers and two civilian employees comprised the Illinois State Police on April 1st, 1922.  Today, the state police has grown to nearly three-thousand sworn and civilian employees.
