ISP Reminds Drivers About The State’s Move Over Law

State transportation officials are reminding drivers to move over when they see flashing lights on the side of the road. Illinois State Police Sergeant Delia Garcia says Scott’s Law requires motorists to slow down and change lanes when they see a vehicle pulled over with its hazard lights on. Violators can face heavy fines. If a driver does not move over and injures someone, they will lose their license for at least six months.
