It’s Official: May 2019 Is Wettest On Record

The rain overnight pushed the total rainfall for the month of May to 8.24 inches of rain as of 7 a.m Thursday. That total breaks last year’s record of 8.21 inches of rain. Last May was the wettest in 142 years with 8.21 inches of rain.  Meanwhile, in Joliet 10.11 inches of rain fell in the month of May as measured by the National Weather Service at Lewis University.
