It’s not just the minimum wage, though that is a big part of the concern. The jobs group Ideas Illinois says it’s worried about the speed at which new Governor JB Pritzker is pushing to change the state’s business climate, and spend more state money. The group’s Greg Baise says the is real worry that the new administration is moving too fast for downstate communities. Baise also worries that Democratic lawmakers are lining-up to pass two more tax increases over the next two years, but they’re not looking to cut spending.
