Johnson, Vallas Go On The Attack In NBC Forum

The two candidates running for mayor of Chicago are taking shots at one another ahead of the April 4th runoff election. During a forum last night on NBC-5, Brandon Johnson accused his opponent Paul Vallas of being a Republican. He also claimed that Vallas opposes the teaching of Black history in Chicago Public Schools. Vallas attacked Johnson and the Chicago Teachers Union for shutting down schools during the pandemic. Last night’s debate was the first encounter between the two candidates since last week’s election, when both earned spots in the runoff.
