Joliet Bank Robbery Suspect Recently Performed at State Fair
WJOL has learned that a Joliet man arrested for Financial Institution Robbery was also an entertainer who recently played at the Illinois State Fair. 59-year-old Tom Tynan was arrested on Thursday night after allegedly robbing the First Midwest Bank of Joliet at 1415 W. Jefferson Street earlier that morning. No one was injured in the robbery and the suspect left prior to the arrival of officers. Tynan lived in the 2600 block of Par Four Lane in Joliet.
Tom Tynan was the founder and lead singer of the band Tynan which recently appeared on WGN-TV and played at the Illinois State Fair on August 17th. The band was also scheduled to play the Grundy County Corn Fest in Morris on Friday September 27th. Tynan’s website lists the band as Chicagoland’s #1 Horn Driven Party Rock Band.
