Joliet City Councilman 95% Sure He’ll Run For Higher Office

A Joliet city councilman is hoping to take his talents to Springfield.
Larry Hug says he’s 95-percent sure he will run for State Senator in the 49th district to replace outgoing Senator Jennifer Bertino Tarrant. Hug says what you see is what you get and he says he’ll bring the same aggressiveness to Springfield as he has in Joliet.
Hug will run as a democrat and may face a primary as others get in the race. He has filed for petitions and is forming a committee with a formal announcement expected December 3rd.
